How to set qualifying questions and routing rules
Qualifying questions are in Workspace settings › Sales Workflow, under AI assistant. Routing is in Workspace settings › Routing & SLA, where routing rules are checked top to bottom and the first match wins. Click Save changes after editing.
Two settings decide what happens after a buyer's first message: what Tend asks them, and who the lead goes to.
Qualifying questions
- Open Workspace settings, then Sales Workflow.
- Under AI assistant, type a question in Qualifying questions and press Enter. Add as many as you need.
- Use Qualify before recommending property. When it is on, Tend asks whether the buyer is buying to live in or to invest, and their budget, before it shows any listing. For a rental it asks about bedrooms and budget. When it is off, Tend can lead with listings.
- Click Save changes.
Who each lead goes to
Open Workspace settings, then Routing & SLA.
- Routing rules send leads to an agent by area, language or budget. Click Add rule, give it a name, set what it matches and choose Assign to. Rules are checked top to bottom, and the first one that matches wins. A rule cannot be switched on until it has an agent.
- Default agent for handoffs catches anything no rule matches. Leaving it unset sends those leads to the least-busy agent.
- When nobody answers can reassign a lead that an agent has not answered in time.
The How leads are routed panel on the same tab shows the full order Tend follows, starting with whoever already owns the conversation.
Click Save changes when you are done.
