Data Deletion

Last updated 13 July 2026

You can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you. This page explains who to contact, what we remove, and how long it takes, in plain language.

1.What this page covers

This page explains how to ask Tend to delete personal data we hold. It covers data a buyer shares over WhatsApp (name, phone number, message content), lead and enquiry records we create, and account data for agency users. For the full picture of what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.

2.Who to ask

For most WhatsApp conversations, our agency clients are the data controller and Tend is the processor acting on their instructions. That affects where a request goes:

  • If you messaged an agency on WhatsApp and want your data removed, you can ask that agency directly, or contact us at the address below and we will route it to them and action it.
  • If you are an agency using Tend and want your account and connected data deleted, contact us directly.

3.How to request deletion

Email privacy@tend.ae with the subject line “Data deletion request” and include:

  • The WhatsApp phone number the data is associated with.
  • The agency you were in contact with, if you know it.
  • Confirmation that you want the data permanently deleted.

We may ask you to verify ownership of the phone number or account before we delete, to make sure the request is genuine.

4.What gets deleted

Once verified, we delete the personal data we hold for you: your contact record, the message history, and any lead or enquiry details derived from it. Data may persist briefly in encrypted backups, which are rotated out on a fixed schedule. We may retain a minimal record where the law requires it (for example, to evidence that a deletion was carried out).

5.How long it takes

We action verified deletion requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We will confirm by email once the deletion is complete.

6.Opting out of messaging

Separately from deletion, you can stop WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP (or the Arabic equivalent) in the chat. This cancels follow-ups and halts further outbound messages, and is honoured immediately.
