How to connect your WhatsApp number to Tend

Tend works on the WhatsApp Business number your buyers already message. Here is what you need, and how to connect it.

Before you start

• You need to be an admin in Tend. Other roles do not see the WhatsApp page.
• You need to be an admin of your business's Facebook account.
• The number must not still be active in the WhatsApp app. Once it is connected, your team answers those chats in Tend instead.

Connect with Meta

1. In the Tend menu, under Settings, open WhatsApp.
2. Under Connect your number, click Connect WhatsApp.
3. Sign in with Meta in the window that opens and choose your business and number.

If nothing appears, allow pop-ups for tend.ae and try again. If an ad blocker is running, Tend tells you it is blocking Meta's window; pause it for this page.

Enter the details by hand

If you already manage your number in Meta Business Suite, open Advanced setup and fill in:

• WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID
• Phone number ID (the numeric ID shown beside the number, not the number itself)
• Access token (a permanent System User token with the WhatsApp messaging and management permissions)

Then click Connect number. Tend checks the details with Meta before it saves them.

Check it works

When the page says WhatsApp is connected, send a message to the number from another phone. It should appear in your Inbox.

To move to a different number later, use Change number on the same page. Messages to the old number stop arriving in Tend.
