Comparison
Tend vs Zena AI
A Dubai-based WhatsApp AI platform from Fictoralabs, sold across several industries including real estate, restaurants, clinics and retail.
Short answer
Both put an AI agent on your WhatsApp number, and both are Dubai-based at similar prices. The real difference is depth versus breadth: Zena is a WhatsApp layer sold to many industries, while Tend does one vertical and models it properly — off-plan units, payment plans, EOI and SPA stages, and commission cascades. If you are not a real estate brokerage, Tend is the wrong product.
Our bias, stated up front: We build Tend, so we are not a neutral party. We have tried to describe the alternative accurately and to say plainly where it is the better choice. Everything about the other product comes from their public website and pricing pages on the date shown; if we have got something wrong or out of date, email hello@tend.ae and we will correct it.
How we compare: We compare on the things a Dubai brokerage actually feels in the first month: how fast a new WhatsApp enquiry gets answered, whether off-plan inventory can be modelled properly, whether the pipeline matches how UAE deals really close, and what it costs per month for a small team. Competitor details verified August 2026.
Where Zena AI is stronger
- Genuinely multi-industry, so it fits businesses Tend deliberately does not serve
- Official WhatsApp Cloud API with a Meta Business Solution Partner badge
- Multilingual including Arabic, English and Arabizi
- A no-code chatflow builder, which Tend does not have — Tend is AI-only
Where Tend is stronger
- Off-plan modelled end to end: developer, project, block, unit, payment plans
- Pipelines that match how UAE deals close — EOI, booking, SPA, not generic stages
- Commission cascade from deal, listing, project or developer agreement
- Funnel analytics built for property sales, including where deals leak

Choose Zena AI if…
Choose Zena if you run something other than a real estate brokerage, if you operate several different businesses on one platform, or if you specifically want to build deterministic button-menu flows rather than letting an AI agent handle the conversation.
Choose Tend if…
Choose Tend if you are a Dubai brokerage and off-plan is a serious part of your business. A general WhatsApp AI can answer a question about a property; it cannot tell a buyer the remaining payment schedule on a specific unit, because it has nowhere to store one.
Common questions
Are the prices similar?
Broadly, yes. Tend self-serve starts at AED 499 for three agents. We would rather you chose on fit than on price, because at this level the monthly difference is small next to the cost of one lost deal.
Does Tend have a chatflow builder?
No. Tend is AI-only by design — there are no button-menu flows to build or maintain. If you want to script deterministic paths, that is a real reason to prefer Zena.
Both are Dubai-based — does that matter?
For WhatsApp compliance and Arabic handling, less than you would think; both use the official WhatsApp Cloud API. It matters more for understanding how a Dubai deal actually closes, which is where the vertical depth shows up.
